The World's Oldest Fermented Drink
If you have never tried mead before, the easiest way to think of it is as a fermented drink made from honey, with a range as broad as wine or cider.
It can be still or sparkling, dry or sweet, light or strong. The honey shapes the flavour, but the final style depends on the recipe, fermentation, strength, and ingredients used.
How We Make Our Mead
1. HONEY
We start with pure locally sourced honey from our trusted Wiltshire beekeepers.
2.WATER
Clean filtered water is added to create the perfect foundation.
3. YEAST
Specialised yeast is then added to begin the fermentation process.
4. FERMENTATION
The mix ferments slowly, unlocking complex flavours and aromas.
5. CONDITION
We age and refine our mead to balance sweetness and depth.
6. BOTTLE
Our mead is bottled by hand, ready to be enjoyed.
Sweet, Dry, Fruity or Spiced
Mead comes in many styles to suit every palate. From crisp and dry to lusciously sweet, still to sparkling, or infused with fruit, herbs, and spices, there's a mead for every moment.
